Computer making weird noises?

one day when i turned on my computer, it suddenly made this loud
noise like a BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
at first i thought it was the fan hitting the cables, then i realized it was the power supply.

now its better though, it just makes a more quiet noise, so i was wondering, should i buy a new power supply because of this?
it has been around 3 weeks since all that happened and, well, my computer is still working good. what do you think?

Could have been a power surge/spike if your unit is plugged directly into the wall i suggest you pick up a surge suppressor.

i actually got it connected to one, and i must add, the noise kept going for around 5 hours the first day. the second day was shorter, like 2 hours and so on.

Could be an inductor coil in the unit that's buzzing or possibly the fan.
Nothing you can really do about it though unless you investigate further and void your warranty.
Plus it's dangerous.
I would only replace it once it starts causing everyday normal usage issues like not starting and shutting down unexpectedly.
Keep a close eye/ear on it.
