Hi, making a gaming rig and have got almost all my components sorted apart from the motherboard. i would love for some suggestions regarding a suitable mobo.

CPU: Intel i7-2600k
GPU: Radeon HD 7850
RAM: i want 16Gb (4x4Gb) DDR3 either 1333 or 1066 (need to know the motherboard before i choose)
PSU: 550W
HDD: 1Tb 7200rpm

In addition, another PCIe slot capable of crossfire would be good so i can add another 7850 later if i need to.

Ty in advance for any help

P.S. hoping to spend apprx $120 but will go up to $200 if theres something really good

if your not going to use an ib cpu then look at the x68 mb from asus.

when you look at the mb look at the pci slots and there speed and if they do both crossfire and sli. most of the good boards have the mvp chip and do 16x with one card and 8x and 8x with two. some of the lower end are 16 and 4x and wont do sli or crossfire.

Thanks for the reply, on your note about ib, would it be worth spending extra there?

If I got the i7-3770, what would be your recommendations then?

if you have a local micro center the 3770 is 259.00
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0388576
for the money right now the i5-3570 is the better deal. there both 4 core cpu.
there not much a i5-3570 cant handle that the i7 sb or ib can do.
the ib cant clock as well as the sb...they run a lot hotter trying to get to 4g speeds.
the sb are only a little slower then ib,
myself if i was not going to overclock i use a 212 heat sink and the i5-3570k use the money for a better mb/power supply or ssd.
