I would like to get your opinions on this slightly modified @codinghorror's build.

Issues i would especially like to see some knowledgeable people comment on:
+ Will the PSU be able to handle the load?
+ Will the i7-2600K be bottlenecking the two GTX 570s?
+ Is there a better GPU/CPU combination for GPU-intensive/high resolution
(1920x1200) gaming, and if so then how do the noise levels compare to the 2xGTX 570?
+ Isn't 16 GB of RAM an overkill?

Links to appropriate benchmarking results will be greatly appreciated.

Motherboard:
Asus P8Z680-V Pro

CPU:
- Core i7-2600K

GPU:
- 2x Gigabyte GV N570OC GF GTX 570

PSU:
- Corsair AX850 PSU

RAM:
- Corsair Vengeance 16 GB

HDD:
- Vertex 3 240 GB SSD

CPU-FAN:
- Noctua Ultra Silent 140mm Fan NF-P14 FLX

Case:
- Corsair 600T Special Edition case

If I was going to do that build for that resolution and budget....

First off I would drop down to the 2500K combo'd with the PC Power & Cooling 950w psu, switch out that board for a Gigabyte UD4 combo'd with 8GB of RAM, combo that, get a case with better cooling (CM HAF), and with the money saved go with dual gtx 580's.

That Asus board is over priced for a gaming build imo, 16GB of RAM is a waste, that Corsair case may be quiet but it doesn't have good airflow...and heat is the #1 issue with dual cards and o/c. I could post a build on here for what the price of that build cost that would mop the floor with the above set up.
