No POST beep but PC boots and works fine.

Hello,

I recently moved my system out of an old case and into a newly aquired Corsair 400R. Everything booted up and worked fine after the move, but I got no POST-beep. It did beep in the old case and I am just wondering wether this should be something I should worry about at all.

I appreciate any hints or tips.

Do you have a speaker hooked up to the motherboard?

Most like you do not and the older cases came with a speaker hook up. New cases left this off to save money.

Pull the speaker from the old case and install it in the new case.

As long as your system is working, you do not need it. But the moment your system stops working, the case speaker will become your most valuable piece of troubleshooting equipment.
