Internet problems with vista

Hello,
I CAN NOT CONNECT TO INTERNET EXPLORERER ON MY HOMVE COMPUTER it is hooked up properly but will not log in

Do you mean that the program Internet Explorer will not start ?

Or that IE starts but puts up the "cannot display page" error message because the computer's networking equipment cannot connect to your router (or the router cannot connect to the internet)

Consider the likely issues and explain them more clearly.
