I'm thinking of buying an Athlon II x2 250. Would this CPU be compatible with my computer?
I have Ati Radeon 5570
3 GB ram DDR2
GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2H Motherboard
450W power supply

There are several revisions of your board the oldest one only seems to support C2 stepping of that CPU. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/p [...] ?pid=2775#
It should work.
