I3-2120 and DDR3 RAM at 1600Mhz

I don't consider myself to be amazing with computers, but I do understand quite a bit of the basics, and I have just recently ordered (for my first actual build) an i3-2120 cpu and a set of 8gb (2x4) Corsair Vengeance RAM at 1600Mhz. I've read around and a lot of people have said that the RAM will underclock by default to 1333Mhz in a build like this, and I'm worried that I'm wasting my money, or not getting the performance that I should be, so if anyone could offer any advice on the subject, it would be GREATLY appreciated ![:)]( ":)")
And if it helps, this build contains a Z68 mobo which supports 1600Mhz RAM.
