Hello,

I have moved from the UK to Canada and need to change the (non-switchable) 240v power supply on my PC to a 110/120v unit. I was happy with the factory fit one in it but what do you recommend to replace it? I'm not a gamer so don't need to cater for that - movies and music are the only requirements aside from usual word processing etc.

And look for one the same wattage size as your old one (or larger if you think you may get into gaming some day). If the PSU you are replacing is an ATX (most common size), any will fit.

Many thanks for the tip! I will dig the PC out of its box (still packed from being shipped last week) and look for the specs of the existing PSU - I assume it will be labelled on the back of the unit. I think I'll go for the unit that is recommended on the link you gave me - will no doubt be a larger wattage than the standard fit on mine anyway.
