The inherent problem with bad reviews is that people who have bad experiences will be more inclined to review than people who have perfectly normal experiences. So the amount of bad reviews is always disproportionately higher than the amount of good reviews.
What's your price range? Otherwise, I'm about to buy the Asus P8Z77 V-Pro/Thunderbolt.
Something in the P8Z77 line might suit you well.

at the most $160, but I also don't need fancy features. I just want a good amount of sata ports. Im also not looking for something to overclock because my processor won't really allow that.

How about the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, that seems to get lots of good reviews...

Hi there,

There is no need to get more expensive mobo, when u have no overclockable CPU.

This one will do just fine.
