Hello, can I replace my current graphics chip GMA (GMA 3100) with GMA X3100 or X3500, please do not recommend me to buy a new graphics card like geforce 9500 gt or better ,since I already have another PC with GTX 590.I only want to know it for upgrading my knowledge in IGP.

Solution
The only way to "upgrade" an IGP is to add in a graphics card or replace the motherboard since IGPs are either built into the North Bridge on the motherboard's chipset or built into the CPU itself

I suppose the only way to upgrade a IGP would be the next generation of I's from Intel because the i5's have a different IGP than the i7's but they run on the same board so if you have a brand new computer with the new H2 socket you could do it.
