Connecting fans to psu

The molex connectors from my fans have both the front and back open with pins, am I supposed to connect both sides to my psu or just one side?

Just one the other open side allows you to attach another device.
This is commonly referred to as daisy chaining and used most often for connecting a couple of fans or more.
