Hi all,

I have recently finished my first HTPC (and any PC for that matter...) build. Current setup:

Motherboard: Asus F1A55-M/CSM
HDD: Adata 60gb SSD
Memory: Mushkin 2x2GB
Case: Antec Fusion with whatever PSU came with it

System boots fine and displays great as long as I connected through VGA or DVI to my monitor. When trying to connect through the tv, it still boots fine. The colours and display are eradic when showing the splash screen and then display drops off completely once the OS has loaded.

Here is a picture of the difference between my monitor (VGA) and the tv (HDMI) at the BIOS screen:,JbLM4

Just TV:,JbLM4#1

HDMI goes from the PC to my receiver to my TV. Have tried four different HDMI cables, all of the HDMI inputs on the tv and HDMI directly into the TV. I have also upgraded and downgraded the BIOS.

Any idea what the issue could be? My completely uninformed opinion is that there is either a motherboard issue or something wrong with the TV (Panasonic Viera plasma 720P).

Well, it's a bad idea to update the bios, but I can see the frustration.
Do you have any other HDMI output device to test the TV with? Like a DVD player, or another computer?
It could be the TV or the motherboard, as you said, you gotta narrow it down more.
Panasonic or Asus are both suspect.

Thanks for the reply. I run 4 other devices connected through HDMI to the TV. all of them are working fine. I just thought maybe the TV didn't like the signal it was getting or something.
