This weekend I had company over so I moved my newly built desktop PC from my bedroom to my closet. When I moved it back to where it was before, I slid the PC on the carpeted floor in my room back towards the desk (the case was closed the entire time).
Now, it's all set up exactly like before, however my wifi internet connection is a lot weaker than it was before the move. I have my laptop beside my desktop now, and it has 5/5 bars of signal strength while my desktop has 2/5 (it used to have 5/5 as well).
Every thing else with the PC is fine, it boots up perfectly and doesn't lag during games and such at all. It's just the internet connection that has the problem
I'm wondering if sliding the PC over 6 feet of carpet is a sign of static electricity damaging my PC/motherboard, or it's just my computer being lame with drivers and such.
In case, my computer specs are:
MB: Asus p8z77 deluxe
GFX card:nvidia gtx 670
PSU: ocz 1000w power supply
CPU: intel 3570k 3.4 ghz processor
RAM: 16 gb corsair vengeance ram
CASE: antec p193 v3
p.s I had no idea where to put this post so my apologies in advanced if it is in the wrong place
