First build, need some reassurance/suggestions (Gaming PC)

Hi there, guys. I was wondering if you could help me.

I have a list of parts for my first ever build (Yay!), and I'd like opinions on it. It was meant to be a rather budget build considering things, but I guess it kinda expanded a bit. Anyway, the parts are as follows:

CPU: Intel Sandybridge i5-2500 3.30GHz Quad Core (6MB Cache)
HDD: WD Caviar 1TB 32MB cache
GPU: ASUS GeForce 560 Ti
RAM: Corsair TW3X4G1333C9A XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3
Case: Cooler Master Elite 330 Mid Tower
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-600CX 600W
Motherboard: ASUS P8H67-M LE (rev. B3)
DVD Drive: LG GH22NS50.AUAA 22x SATA

Total cost: £598.36

I am, of course, open to all suggestions about parts. :D
I have an approximate budget of around £600.

  1. Looks good. I would swap the WD for a Samsung F3 1TB, and Zalman for a Hyper 212+. Also, ensure that the XMS memory is 1.5v then pull the trigger and enjoy that rig!
  2. Yeah, I only had the WD in there because the F3 is currently under investigation from Amazon, for some reason. People weren't getting it when they ordered it. Once that's cleared up (I can wait), then I'll put the F3 in there. I'll also swap those coolers now. :)

And yep, the voltage is indeed 1.5v. :D

EDIT: Wait, no. Can't do the coolers. The Hyper 212+ doesn't do LGA 1155. :(
  3. The Hyper 212+ does do LGA 1155 (and / or LGA 1156). No worries there...
  4. Odd. On Amazon, it only says it does Socket 775, Socket 1156, Socket AM2, Socket 1366 and Socket AM3.
  5. The description on Newegg has an updated description. Just make sure it is the "+" (Plus) version...

    Intel: Socket LGA1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 775
    AMD: Socket AM3 / AM2 / AM2+
  6. Huh. Damn out of date Amazon. Reviews on Amazon says it fits 1155, but... I'm really paranoid with this stuff. :p
I'll see how it goes. I'll look at some videos about how to fit it, as well. Something that's hard to fit won't do my fingers any wonders...
  7. The 1155 will fit the same as with a 1156, just follow the instruction. Hyper 212+ is the best low price air cooler so good choice :)
  8. Hm, alright. I might also have some advantages in that I'd have the motherboard directly in front of me for installation (As in I wouldn't have to take it out of the case first). No stock cooling for me! :p

The case should be able to fit all the components, shouldn't it? Regarding graphics card and that cooler, that is.
