May want to throw in an aftermarket heatsink hyper 212+. Since you're not overclocking, i5-2400 with a H6x motherboard is good enough. The RAM and HDD look good at this point. Actually everything else looks good to me haha. But consider an aftermarket heatsink if you feel your cpu is running hot.

i always kind thought about sli/crossfire in my future, would it be worth it? and would a 650watt psu work if i eventually go duel card?

Any "boost" would be in benchmarking and would go largely unnoticed in every day usage...not worth the 65% price hike.

OP: You would need to go with a Z68/P67 chipset to allow for Crossfire/SLI and a board that supports x8/x8 in CF/SLI. A quality 650w PSU would be adequate for dual 6870s.

Take out your Windows 7 Home Premium and download Windows 7 from a download site like 1337x.Org but it's at your own risk of getting virus, i take no responsibility... I download there myself and it's way better than spending $200 on a software...

That wouldn't be very legal, but I cannot disagree with that statement.

it overclocks using the base clock. you are limited to 4ghz overclocks with that

LegenKiller, fyi, promoting or suggesting illegal activity on here is a no-no. You could get banned.

OP, You don't want to touch the base clock as this overclocks EVERYTHING...PCI, PCI-e, USB, memory, SATA, etc. It can cause data corruption.

The short answer to your earlier question is no, unless you are willing to compromise on other parts. If so, here is a good build that includes an i5-2500k for under $800.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k
MOBO: MSI P67A-G45
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.660241
$319.98 ($299.98 after MIR), free shipping
*Note that this is the same price as buying an i5-2400 and this motherboard seperately

RAM: G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) 1333 CL9 1.5v
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231396
$29.99, free shipping

GPU: XFX HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521
$189.99 ($159.99 after MIR, plus free Dirt 3), free shipping

HDD: Samsumg Spinpoint F3 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
$59.99, free shipping

Optical: Lite-On 24x SATA DVD Burner OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
$19.99, free shipping

PSU: Antec Earthwatts 650w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044
$59.99, free shipping

Case: Rosewill Blackbone
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147023
$44.99, free shipping

OS: Win 7 HP 64-bit OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
$99.99, free shipping

Total: $824.91 shipped before rebates, $774.91 after

If you need to keep the "before rebate" cost under $800, change the HD 6870 to an HD6850. Keep in mind, if you add another HD 6850 down the line, you will have performance that beats an HD 6970 and is on par with a GTX 580.
