My Dell Deskotop(Dimension E510) says no bootable device available and is making

Hi I have a Dell Desktop (Dimension E510) that doesn't boot to the windows screen and keeps saying no bootable device available and keeps making strange clicking noises for as long as its turned on. I've checked all of the cables that I could find but nothing changed help!

  1. Time to buy a new harddrive. I hope you have a recent backup or your reinstallation disks because your harddrive is shot.
  2. Doesn't sound good, do you have another machine you can hook the drive up to as a slave and try and access the data?

Then I'd suggest an attempted re-installation or download the drive checking discs from the drive manufacturers website and try running them.
