I want to change my graphic card..need advice

hi all, i hope this is the right place to ask.
its time for me to change my graphic card
im on a i5 with power supply 600w +12/20A and now i have mounted a crappy GTS250
do u think any GC that ask for 24A is the same or should it give me problems?
i need some tips regarding those new graphic card

We need to know a lot more about your needs and specs. What i5 do you have? What power supply do you have? We need to know its max load if its a low end PSU. Your motherboard, ram could help. We also need to know your resolution for sure, and finally if you want to game or just need to watch videos and what not.

The numbers you used don't make sense. 20a on the +12v rail is 240w. If that is correct it's already very surprising that it can sufficiently power an i5/GTS 250 system.

new psu 800w (gs800) and radeon 6870.

You really need to give us more specifics. GS, do you mean the Corsair Gamer Series?
