E8400 vs i5 2410M

HEY GUYS!
So i just finished my build..
i orginally had i3 2100 but decided to pop an i5 2500k in there with my gtx 460. The performance in BF3 beta was ALOT smoother..now...
i have my old build lying arond, and my friend wants to get it. it has

e8400 (stock) with HD 5770 (1440 x 900)

but will a lappy with i5-2410M and GT 540M (1366x768) handle games like BF3, Crysis, GW2, WoW better than my old build?

Should i recoment the laptop, or my older build gathering dust?

GT 540m is lower on the totum pole than a 5770.
also with a desktop he can always upgrade the gpu, con not do that with the lappie.

Yeah, the older comp. has a p5Q del. so Xfire is possible.. but since BF3 is SO BLOODY cpu intensive, do you think the e8400 will underperform significantly than the i5M?

For CPU intensive, the i5-2410m is probably the better choice.

But on that same token, the desktop, can upgrade the Processor. would need to check manuf MB web site to see what the max cpu that can be used.

Ok thanks alot! ill recomend him the HP DV6T quad with 6770M rather than the other lappy!
