i have a phenom x6 1045t and it idles at 50 c and while in game goes up to 64 sometimes 70, are those ok temp?


just installed xfx 6770 wondering if that is the problem

just added two new fans cpu dropped to 45c idle 50 load but in game its at 65c (airflow is about 28 c) using cpuid monitor is cpu temp different from cores temp

different yes. and the HSF is the problem. What case do you have, and what cooler do you have? are you running an OC, because if you are not, then the chip is faulty. No chip runs that hot in any case with stock cooler at stock settings. You did apply Thermal Paste right? I have some people who didnt, and after i laugh, i tell them to get some.

i think i know what the problem is , sadly i have a hp pavlion series 500y , i installed a xfx 6770 and two new fans ,it has the cpu i phenom x6 1045 ,the reason for the upgrade it had already a 6450 wanted to play bf3 but wanted to get temps down going to run it and see how temps are if temps are still high going to downgrade video card also there is only room for one fan which is in the back , i installed a fan from the outside pulling air in , it will probably fit inside the case but not sure if it should be pointed right at the cpu

so i am currently installing bf3 and i put a side fan pulling air in right on the cpu and one in the back releasing all the hot air i got it down to 35 to 40 degrees not sure if fan is suppose to be blasting air right on top of cpu fan
