Okay So I am in a predicament, This is my first build ever :ouch:

I want a new gaming rig so I can play future games like BF3 and Skyrim on high or near max settings ( I want it to look good)

Problem is, I am on a tighter budget because I wont know how much I will use the new computer as college is starting up and I have a new job on campus so I dont want to overspend on a computer that I will never fully use

So I was looking at a 1440 X 900 LCD 19 inch monitor for 100 Bucks on Newegg and that Has put my budget around 700 Dollars

Is it possible for anyone to build a $700 gaming rig capable of playing these future games on high and near max settings?

Budget: $700

Use: Gaming and future gaming. everyday stuff

Comments: Don't care about specific parts, AMD or Intel, just want something that will run them great :)

Thank you

Worst case scenario, I have to buy it full price but it seems like I can get it for 20 bucks from school

This looks great thank you! But I have heard from people that if you go cheap on a Mobo and a PSU your entire system wont even matter. Is this true?

Thank you!

It's true, you don't ever want to get a crap mobo and/or psu. MSI mobo's...although not my first choice, have been steady with the P67 chip sets. On another note, I found a Gigabyte Z68 board for $15 cheaper, and a special on RAM...so I edited that build up above...check it out now.

As far as the psu goes, that Antec psu in that build I posted is manufactured by Seasonic...which means it's as good as it gets. In other words that build up above is solid.

seriously? i dont want to be a whiner, but its a little irritating to spend the time making a build that is nearly identical to why_me's and have it completely ignored, despite it being posted earlier. Please at least take a look at the ram+mobo combo i posted, which gets you the same "updated" gigabyte mobo + 8gb 1600mhz ram (instead of 4gb 1333mhz) for $3 more. the only other difference is that he has chosen a superior hdd and an inferior graphics card. btw, i forgot to add in the PSU promo code, so the grand total (after shipping) is actually $706.
