Ping.exe maked my cpu busy

i am having a problem for last few days my cpu goes busy to 100% and when i check the processes its ping.exe that makes it busy when i end this task cpu works fine what should i do to fix it

hmm, these type of extension file often in the form of viruses you must scan your whole computer with latest antivirus like kaspersky.

You could be using a torrent client, and that does a lot of pinging .....

Could be a virus, best way is to run the following scanners ..

Disable any script blocking protection
Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS.txt will open.
Save both reports to your desktop.

Extract the contents of the zipped file to desktop.
Right-click and choose Run as Administrator on GMER.exe. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .
If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO
In the right panel, you will see several boxes that may have been checked. Uncheck the following ...
IAT/EAT
Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
Show All (don't miss this one - make sure it is UNCHECKED)
Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" and save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop, and paste it in your reply.
