Hi, everyone I'm looking to buy some ram to improve multi tasking and gaming performance. I'm looking at 8 gb ( 2x 4 gb) because i read that 16 gb would be overkill? I've narrowed it down to these two. What do u guys think? Which is faster at stock? when overclocked? the overall better value? the better ram? Any imput would be helpful!

I may be also getting a cpu cooler like the Cooler Master hyper EVO in the future so it has to fit in my HAF 922M case.

Thank you.

The heat spreaders on the ripjaws might be a problem with the EVO. If you want to be sure you aren't going to have any problems make sure the RAM is on the qualified list for your mobo (or the mobo is on the rams qualified list...)

And yes 16GB is overkill for gaming.

How do i find if my ram/mobo is qualified for each other? My motherboard is a MSI z77A-G43

This is MSI's published list for that motherboard:

Even if the memory doesn't appear on the list doesn't mean that it won't work.

The chances of it working are quite high.

Thank you, i think i decided to go with the samsung modules because everyone is raving about how they overclock and perform so well for their price.
