What games will I be able to play?

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100

Motherboard: ASRock H61M-VS

RAM: Crucial 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) DDR3-1333

Graphics: Sapphire 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1 GB

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS 500 GB, SATA 6Gb/s

Power: Antec EarthWatts Green EA380D 380 W

Is it good for gaming? Medium settings on games is what I am aiming for.

If your PSU doesn't die on you it will run everything out on the market well. The i3 is a nice little chip, I'm rocking it myself. And the 6850 is a good mainstream card. You really need a 450W+ for your machine though. Your cutting it really close at 380W.

What you have is a basic desktop and not the best for games, the ram amount is the minimum you want but the speed is low. your video card is alright and would be better if you crossfire two of them but your power supply won't be able to support that so you'd need to upgrade it. You may be able to play some games at medium settings with no AA etc. . but there will be some games that you'll have to run on low setttings

I disagree. The 6850 is a solid mainstream card. He won't have a problem maxing out games like BC2 and the like and he will have solid frames while running it maxed. If he starts getting into simulators, hes going to have to set preferences on the medium range.

I disagree too
4 gig of RAM is plenty for gaming . Run your games in a window and open task manager . None will be using anywhere near 4 gig
The gfx card is a decent card even with a 1920 x 1080 monitor
Crossfire ia not an option with that motherboard so while its a nice feature to have it would require spending way more than the current budget . Toms system builder marathon used this set up for their latest $500 build and the PSU is certainly good enough

For applications and multitasking a Phenom 955 on an AM3+ mb is arguably a better option , but for gaming this rig is very good bang for buck

Better off getting the 6850 even though its not as powerful. The GTX400's are power hungry toasters that will surely cost you more in the long run than any of the 6000 series cards. I'm talking electric bill.

Edit: I just looked at some benches. Gaming wise, the two are neck and neck. Better off with the 6850 for power and heat reasons.

sorry people disagree with my RAM comments I wasn't saying it wasn't satisfactory just that I feel 4GB is the minimum for gaming as 2GB doesn't really cut it anymore and if you can take full use of 4GB why wouldn't you.
