Just verify that you have the proper output device selected. Go to Control Panel/Sound and select the rpoper output device.

When you connected the new SMPS (PSU), your motherboard detected all of your installed devices again. The likely problem is that your video card's HDMI audio device was selected as the default device rather than your built-in sound card (integrated on the motherboard) or stand alone sound card (if installed).

Good luck!
