More about will parts together first time building
  1. Do not get the GTX 460 SE 1GB.

Either get the GTX 460 768mb or the GTX 460 1GB non SE model.
The SE model performs worse than both as it has less shader cores.
  2. For that kind of money on the mobo, you might as well get a 6850 and a board that runs Crossfire @ x8 & x8

Okay, I chose another one, check it out. It doesn't say SE so is it okay? And you didn't say if everything was compatible yet o.o

Alright THANKS so much. I replaced the mobo/graphics card in my list with the ones you gave me. Now do you have any other suggestions?
  7. replace HDD with this faster, more space and currently best bang for buck speed and performance HDD

Everything looks good, and that Samsung h/d is a good one. If it goes up on price @ newegg, you can get it from amazon for $60.

Now when you save up more $$$, you can add another one of those 6850's :)

If you didn't see yet, I literally replaced EVERYTHING on there because I want to buy from Frys/Microcenter instead because they are near me, *mostly* everything is the same, just different price possibly and store. But everything is still good right? I just need you to check the mobo and gpu again for me and see if they are still good if you don't mind :??:.
  10. You'll be installing WIN7 64bit OS, correct? 8GB of RAM would be pointless on any 32bit OS.

Yes of course :) And since your here can you check for compatibility as well please hehe.
  12. everything looks good, everything should work 100%, the only recommendation I would have is to get a full ATX case, like me, I have a small case - awesome case - but its micro-atx, and i struggled to get a good mb; so atx will be very good for the future.
  13. I don't know why nobody told you to start out with this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice
If you fill that out, we'll come back and give you a full build.

This thread has an excellent $600 computer posted you might want to look at: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/316753-31-budget-build#t2356530
Note the comments on that build though.

Actually No, I Have An 460SE, It Performs Slightly Better Than The 768MB Version Under Certain Situations (Especially When AA And AF Come Into Account) And Its Not THAT Much Slower Than The 1GB And At-Least It Outruns A 550 By A Good Margin And Its Far Cheaper Than All Three

Later on you will be able to add a 2nd 6850 for godly performance and you will be ready for the bulldozer!

    Hopefully this helps ^_^

Hm, thanks so much for that! I will use that build instead actually because the price is slightly different but mobo, HDD, and gpu are better than the ones in my build. But one thing is I will be choosing a new case.
