In my ongoing quest to slowly rebuild my rig almost completely, I looking into whether or not I need to upgrade the case itself. It is an old case (obviously). F.Y.I- I'm looking into getting a HD 6950 or 6970 with possible crossfire in the horizon. My budget is already tight so I would be having to spend hopefully no more than $60-$70 for a case. Let me know what you think.

it would definitely wrk for a single GPU but an SLI you would probably need to add a incoming side fan.

before you put new card you have to buy a new psu the 6950 need 500 watts single with a 6 pins pci-e and the 6970 a 550 watts ask for a 6 and 8 pins

Yea. Everything but the mobo and the cpu is getting upgraded. My plan is probably OS and HDD, then PSU, and finally a GPU. Along the way, I want to double my RAM, get a new monitor and maybe a case when I get a new PSU

Right now I'm looking at probably a 650W in case I do decide to crossfire one day.

Depends which. 6950 Op gets, my Asus DcII's are 6+8pin as well

Yes,obviously, you need a new case for your ongoing build.
A case which features a bottom mount psu and better cooling options.

I've omitted the Antec 300 simply because it has no cable management and is being outclassed by newer designs.
