Hello everyone!

So im planning to upgrade my video card and power supply. Currently im thinking about ATI HD5670 and Corsair CX500 500w psu. I'm going to replace my old GF 7900GS which died few days ago and a cheap no-name 350w psu which is now lasting almost 4 years without any problems. :o

My current specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8ghz (stock)
2GB DDR2-533
250GB 7200rpm HDD
350W PSU

So i want to know if my cpu wont hold back the HD5670? Maybe i can go with a more powerful card then?
The resolution i will be using is 1280x1024 and i want newer games to run at least on med with decent fps.

im pretty sure the PSU you have right now will power the 5670.

can you OC that CPU? if so do it because 1.8ghz dual core is nothing nowdays, it will probably bottleneck :/

Well i probably can, but for that i think i need a new cpu cooler, because with stock at idle im getting like 50°C :s

P.S. You really think my psu will be enough? :D  It only has 16A on the +12V rail and its 4 years old. :D

idle temps say nothing, you have to run prime95 (stresses CPU to 100%) like i said before.

Well then temps go as high as 70c+ :/

Well, im not from USA. :p

In my country HD6670 costs ~100$ and HD5670 about 90$ and both are sapphire versions. :)

P.S. I wanna also know if there will be a significant performance increase comparing it to my old GF7900GS?
