PC problem while playing games

The other day I was playing Mw3 on my Pc when I accidentally hit the sleep key (It's right next to my esc key). My computer went to sleep but when it came up it made this terrible Crackling noise, I restarted my computer and no the problem continued. Every time I try to play ANY game I get this really bad frame rate lag (that used to NEVER be there) and the sound gets so distorted. Not only that but I get a really really loud sound (it's like when you put the tv on a channel where there is nothing broadcasting. You know? Polar bear in a snowstorm? That sound). I've been contemplating on buying a new Sound card (I have a realtek Hd audio right now) But i want to make sure that's the problem. Any help?

Hi there, can u get in the safe mode? And listen if it is still noisy?

Keep pressing F8 button during the BIOS start up.

The problem only really occurs when I play games (like counterstrike, tf2, mw3, bf2) so I wouldn't be able to launch the games off of safe mode.

Sorry about the delay but no. Everything seems fine in safe mode.
