New Build. Any one have any input?

Hey Guys,

I am looking to build myself 2 computers that would be capable of gaming ( i currently play Borderlands, Darksiders, Fallout 3, Metro 2033, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and some older ones) and i was just looking for some input on if this particular setup would work. I usually play at 1920x1080 or 1280x720. I'm not after being able to max everything out but 30+ fps would be nice in either of the resolutions i play in. I already have hard drives and optical drives as well as the OS ( Windows 7 pro ). Thanks for any input guys. I'm looking to order it all from Newegg in the next week or so. Here are the parts:

Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming Case ( i know this does not play a part but i put it anyway)

My budget is $500-600 for each computer. I also do some video encoding and school projects but this build will do those no problem. Any input is appreciated even if its suggesting different parts. I'm open for anything. Thanks in advance

At this point it is worth it to upgrade to an AM3+ mobo to provide an upgrade option for bulldozer down the line.

do you have any interest in overclocking that 955?

if yes, check mobo and think about new heatsink

do you plan on putting in another card at some point?

if yes, check mobo and PSU

if no, invest in a 6850 or 6870

you sould be able to make these changes within your budget.

from here determine if you can go with a lower PSU as I am not sure and look into a inexpensive heat sink that will let you push your 955 just alittle

this should put you somewhere close to $600

You could upgrade to the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition for just a bit more. You can also downgrade the PSU to 600w or 650w. Should be good though.
