Hi guys,

I am almost done with my build, but I am still missing RAM.

I have been reading a lot, but I didn't manage to understand which ram should I buy. Here are 2 links:

1. Quad channel:
http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Arbeitsspeicher/DDR3-1600/Corsair-Dominator-Series-DDR3-1600-CL7-16GB-Kit::18971.html

2. Dual channel:
http://www.alternate.at/html/product/Corsair/DIMM_16_GB_DDR3-1600_Quad-Kit/971998/?

So this is Corsair Dominator vs Corsair Vengeance... and Dominator is cheaper (no idea how is it possible). Both have same speed, same voltage and both kits are CL7. So will I have any issues running quad channel RAM together with my i7 3770K, or should I pay 40 Euros more and get dual channel Vengeance?

Thank you!

Cheers for the quick reply!

I was thinking so as well since I would be forced to remove upper heatsink in order to fit Dominator with Noctua's CPU cooler, but I asked just to be sure.

Best regards...

I already bought Noctua NH-D14, so I would be able to fit Dominator as well, but in order to do so heatsink has to be removed (all of them).
But yes... 40 Euros less for Dominator over Vengeance sounds pretty nice to me. :)

Yes, I like the Dominator more too. Probably only 1 will have to go.

But it is useless gimmick those heat-sinks anyway. No harm done.

Yes, you are right... I will buy Dominator then. I was just confused with quad/dual channel thing. But as far as it doesn't matter for my 3770K CPU, Dominator it will be! Cheers for your time and those photos!

Quad is just for socket 2011. The 3900X CPU's

You'are welcome. No problem at all : )

Yes, but this Dominator kit is a Quad channel. So I suppose it will work on P8Z77 WS mainboard with i7 3770K which supports only dual channel memory? :)
