Are you sure its your graphics card? Just starting a program shouldn't activate the GPU, its only when your DOING something in premiere that it needs the extra boost. Its probably something with the program, just uninstall and reinstall the program to be sure.

I have the exact same issue with my GT 525m (Dell XPS) After effects andphotoshop run fine, but Premiere pro crashes continually.

Did you find any solution?

for the record i found a temporary fix.

Im too lazy to work out how or why, but if you open you Nvidia control panel, go to the manage 3d settings tab, and first test turning preferred graphic processor, to "Nvidia", or "Integrated" and then try run adobe.

Mine still crashed on "Nvidia" but been running fine on integrated.

If that works for you, you can go to program settings tap, and tell only premiere pro to only be integrated graphics.
till nvidia and adobe get their act together at least.

cool. cheers
