GTX 570 with Phenom II 955?

Hi all,
I'm planning to upgrade my system's graphics card, probably to a GTX 570. My only concern is that my Phenom II 955 CPU is going to be a bottleneck. It works great with my Radeon 5770 right now, but I don't know if it will be able to keep up with the 570. Any thoughts?

I have a 1920x1080 monitor, so it should place most of the load on the GPU. I'll be using it primarily for gaming, and I want to get better performance in some recent high-end games (Witcher 2, Crysis 2, BF:BC2... I only play sequels, apparently) and the ones that will be coming out soon (Battlefield 3, Red Orchestra 2, Deus Ex 3, etc). Glad to hear my trusty ol' CPU will be up to the task. Now I just hope that Nvidia doesn't announce the GTX 600 series two days after I order.

fyi for a benchmark, a little birdie with a BF3 alpha key has told me that the game can be played smoothly on high settings at 1080p (no advanced effects enabled) with a single HD6870.

The really interesting thing for me is that it shows how wasteful it is for a gamer to shell out for a new i5 2500k and motherboard when you can buld an arguably better gaming machine using a Phenom 955 and use the money you save to buy a stronger graphics card

Well, I got the card and it's working great. Bad Company 2is buttery smooth at 1080p with max settings. Still can't max out Crysis, but I'm beginning to suspect that Crytek can't max out Crysis, so I'm not too disappointed. Can't wait to see what BF3 has in store. Thanks for the help, everyone!

Yes, I think that it will. The 955 is a good processor.
