Hi I have two EVGA superclocked 580s in SLI an i5 2500k and I'm lookin for a PSU what brands are good and is a 850watts PSU enough??

There really is no such thing as "good brands". That is buying by brand alone is no guarantee as to quality. Any advice about brands should be taken with a few pounds of salt :). Which of the following do you think is true ?

Antec makes crappy PSU's
Antec makes good PSU's
Antec makes very good PSU's
Antec makes great PSU's

The answer .... all of the above. Manufacturer's are in business to make money ... the more they sell the more they make. Targeting a single market segment limits the number of customers you can sell to, limiting the amount of sales. So most vendors sell to multiple market segments:

Great PSU's
CP-850 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=142
SG-650 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=113
SG-850 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=101

Very Good PSU's
HCG-900 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=211
HCP-1200 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=198
CP-1000 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=173
TP-750 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=140
TPQ-850 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=58
EA-500 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=35

Good PSU's
HCP-850 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=215
TPQ-1200 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=177
EA-750 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=173
EA-650 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=110

Crappy PSU's
NP-650 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=117
TPT-650 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=1
TP2-550 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=22

The Corsair HX and AX series are generally in the very good to great range as are the Antec SG, CP, HCP and HCG series, Seasonic X Series, XFX Black Edition, Enermax M12...and no, I would not get an 850 watter as there is not a single 850 watter on nVidia's certified PSU list.

900 is the absolute lowest I'd go, 1000 preferred to give you the necessary voltage stability for hi overclocks. A 1200 watter will get you a 3rd 580 in the future.

Some choices:

Antec HCG-900 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=211
Enermax Revolution 85+ 1050W http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=138
Antec HCP-1200 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=198
Corsair AX1200 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=189

I always recommend reading objective PSU test reviews on the EXACT PSU model you are interested in because as JackNaylorPE mentioned, there are good and not so good PSUs sold under many of the popular brand names and you have no way to know the PSU performance or quality without actually testing it properly.

If you want to objectively, accurately and scientifically determine what PSU power is required for your Vid card and PC in both watts and 12v rail amps., the forum Utility link below will show you how easy it is to calculate this information and objectively determine which PSUs are quality built, reliable PSUs that can meet your needs. Be advised that the available 12v rail amps. is just as important as the total PSU wattage. You need both to be correct.
