Hello,

Main objective: medium photo editing in photoshop and light room.. Ability to game occasionally would be desirable. Total cost to be less than 700$

I am just finalizing my build and I was wondering if it could be critiqued before I pull the trigger.

CPU Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor $219.99

CPU Cooler Cooler Master RR-B10-212P-G1 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler $39.99

Motherboard MSI P67A-C43 (B3) ATX LGA1155 Motherboard $109.99

Memory G.Skill Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory $52.49

Video Card XFX Radeon HD 6770 1GB Video Card $119.99

Case Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case $59.98

Power Supply Corsair 650W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply $69.88

Optical Drive Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer $19.99
Total
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.) $692.30

All prices from Canadian stores.

Any comments or suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

I was hoping to buy a silent case but it must be no higher than 75$.

Thank you!

great cpu cooler, great price:

the hd6870 is priced so aggressively right now, its hard to recommend anything below it, but i cant tell you how much you will be gaming, or what games you play. The performance difference between the two cards is massive at 1080p resolution.

you wont need 650w to power an hd6770 (380w if that) or even an hd6870 (500w), but thats a great price on a corsair 650w, and the prices for lower wattage psu's dont seem to be much lower at canadian sites.

Thanks for the links!

I'll be playing some games such as portal 2, skyrim, some starcraft 2, possibly crisis 2 as well. I have a ps3 which is my primary source for gaming and so I'll be playing games that I dont want to buy on the playstation pretty much..

Any suggestion on the case?

Thanks!
