Motherboard startup

I cant seem to get an answer on this, I want to power on my motherboard, just power it on, not POSt, or go to BIOS, just turn on the motherboard.
I have a working PSU i can connect to it, and the motherboard has a build in power and reset button.
Is there a way to get this motherboard to power on without the CPU or ram or anything, if i JUST want to check if its DOA.

you mean without cpu and ram you are trying to turn on your pc LOL! How is that possible?

i dont need it to function, i just need to run power through the motherboard
