I am looking to upgrade my gpu and I have been looking at the nvidia 560's. How much of a difference is there between the 560 gtx vs the 560 ti. I was looking at newegg and the price difference seems to be around $30-$40. Do you think its worth the extra money to go with the ti? Also, when dealing with the 560's, is there any brand that has been known to have problems and is best avoided? Thanks to anyone who can help.

I had to RMA my Asus GTX560Ti after just a couple of days, but the replacement has been fine. It is a physically solid card; very heavy with a metal rather than plastic shroud. It has two fans, with different blade counts. I suspect that design is to minimize any harmonic whine between them, as it is also a very quiet card.

any manufacturer will be fine to be honest.
as for the cards, personally from the road ahead point of view, the 560ti will serve you better, you can push it to 70 levels under a heavy oc if you have sufficient cooling, and adding a second one in sli will be better again in the future, with the 560 you probably wouldent notice much difference at all, mabye 2-3 frames per second less but i think youd be more satisfied with the ti. Both are great cards really, youll be happy with either! Hope this helps.

I would go with a gigabyte superoverclocked gtx 560 ti they have 2 cards one that is overclocked to 950 on the core and another to 1000. I have EVGA 560 ti that came stock at 900 and I have overclocked it to 950 and it was awesome. Or go with the msi twin frozr 2. Hope this helps the 560 ti cards are awesome i plan to sli mine with a gigabyte when battlefield 3 comes out.
