Nvidia gt 430 vs. geforce gt 520

Which of these would be the better video card for video rendering, 3d modeling and game simulation?

I intend to buy the first one, but would the PNY be better or what direction should i go towards?

HEy not a 5570 i think you wanna say 5670. the 512Mb model is around $65 or somewhere near to it. and since you are buying now you should get as big graphics card as possible and please make sure that your PSU could handle the card you buy.

Yea your right, instead of the gt 240 or radeon 5670, would a radeon 5770 be considerably better

It should (very much so), but it depends on if your power supply and cpu can handle the card. What are your system specs?

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series 650W ATX12V /80 PLUS Certified PSU
60 GB 2.5 SSD - for OS
500 GB Western Digital 7200RPM 6G/S HDD
ASUS Black Sata 24X DVD Burner


so should i go for the 5670 or will it be that much more beneficial to go with a 5770

The Galaxy GT430 is known to have problems. Yesterday someone else posted here complaining of problems after the card died after a 5% overclock.

Consider a different brand or model. 5670 better.

i have decided to go with the nvidia geforce gts 450, this card will be sufficient for me correct?


and my final components are going to be

amd phenom II x4 @ 3.2 ghz cpu
8gb ddr3 ram memory
500 gb hdd
EVGA GeForce GTS 450 video card
CORSAIR 650W psu

Wait even if you have decided to go with nvidia's X50 series Graphics card, I would say go with the 250Gts, As many people have problems with nvidia's 4XX series or if you want DX11 go with nvidia 550Gts.
