So I used the MSI afterburner program to overclock my Galaxy Geforce GT 430 by 5%... only 5%. I ran the benchmark on it, and about 15 seconds in the whole pc just shut down. Now it refuses to turn on unless I completely remove the graphics card. I've never heard of a fried GPU preventing the entire computer from starting.

Yikes, I am glad that I didn't get that card as I was once considering getting one to use for dedicated physx. If the machine refuses to run with the card installed try another card and if that runs then the gt430 is a brick. If a dead brick contact customer support and get a RMA.
