i have a msi P4M800Pro m/b, currently running a intel celeron d 2.66ghz and am in desperate need an upgrade. i have done some research into this and i have found a few good processors and i was woundering if anyone could give me some advice on what they think the best upgrade would be for me. i have a radeon 256 MB AGP 8X/4X gfx card. the socket for cpu is 775. i will be using my system for gaming (obviasly not top end) and would appreciate any help on this matter thanks

Save your hard earned money for something that will actually reward the seperation of $$$. My opinion, if you are on a very tight budget, FM1 Llano 2.9GHz integrated with a 6550 gpu, and an Asrock FM1 board for $55. This will run with any psu you own, and as long as your cd-drive and hdd have sata connections, you should be ok without too much more money.

Total for those 2 items is $195.
