Update from HD 5770 to 6850-460

Recently sell my excelent sapphire HD5770 and I got to spend the cantity of almost $250, and canot decide betwen the Palit Sonic GTX460 1Gb ($187.5) and the MSI HD6850 Cyclone OC ($233).

I really don't decide by the palit cause it's short and it comes with a heatsink pure Al, no heatpipe, and 1 9 cm fan, it will overheat? and my system is AMD crossfire ready, please guide me.

For the 6870 it cost $291 and I canot get that money in the moment.

Prices are converted from mexican pesos to dollars. Buyin' in line are the same, Y'know about taxes. Justino Morales are really a son of a... :fou:

For the price, the GTX 460 1GB is the better deal. Make sure it isn't the SE version though. And I believe the 460 1GB is slightly better than the 6850.

There are actually a lot of normal 1GB GTX 460s having issues right now.

Ok, got it!, in the same site is a Gygabyte but is the maximum prize I can pay 250 bucks, it woul be better or I go for the MSI or Sapphire taht are the same prize ($233)?
And I do not know if in the future do crossfire, taht's why decide for the Nvidia, do You know how good is the escalation of two 6850 practically no theoretically? I have one 1680x1050 display maybe later got for a 1920x1200.

OR get a 5870, €160 here in Europe, ~$224 add shipping and you get around your budget. Sweeter than an 460.

Yes, but many of the sites doesn't have shipping to México, I need to check it out, in Ebay México (Mercado Libre), sometimes apears good offert for this cards, but goes quickly, just last week was a XFX 5850 Black Edition in $291, an goes early this week, and some weeks before I found 4870X2 and gtx295, but as I said, goes quickly. Let me check it and I inform what hapend.
