^^^Rate my build

Hi everyone this is my initial build that I have had saved for quite sometime now, and would like to ask the community on your thoughts on how I can improve this setup.
The hardest decision I have right now is between the 570 twin frzr III vs the 580 lightning.
please note that I will pick up an ssd later on down the line when bf3 is coming out.

Thanks to all :pt1cable:

My only complaint is the brand on the GTX card get EVGA they are the best and it's 10 dollars cheaper. There is minimal difference from 570 to 580, but if you want the best 580 is where it's at probably a 10% performance difference between the two. Twin frozr isn't really necessary unless you are doing extreme overclocking on that 570 card too. If you got an EVGA 580 3.5gb you wouldn't have to worry about temps with their lifetime warranty.

I think what he means is your spending a lot for little reason, like the motherboard you could get one 80 bucks cheaper and does whats necessary all the cooling stuff isn't really needed as well. The case looks a little too big for what your putting in it. Your paying 500 dollars for the 3d gimmicky monitor when you could get a great monitor at about 200 bucks with the same resolution and color. The 8gb of ram may be unnecessary as games don't usually even come close too using 4 , you'd be better off with less ram with more speed, anyway that's my opinion. O and get a better brand burner like HP that isn't OEM so you won't have to deal with installing problems as well as hardware later.

Where to begin...

First off the gtx 580 3gb cards are there for peeps who plan on using multiple monitors...hence the 3gb or RAM. Those cards actually screw people using a single monitor because the the latency...you end up with less FPS. So there's $100 savings there.

Second that Asrock board. There's plenty of boards that go for $180 or even less that get you near or at 5.0ghz. And also no need for a 2600K if this is a gaming build.

Here's a 16+2 and 12+2 phase boards

Thanks for the response why_me I was also looking at the benq monitor for quite some time, and I will probably get that one. So the 570 it is then. Anyone have any input on the sabertooth mobo? Also this pc will also be used for editing and school work.

If you go with the 570 then look for the XFX 850w modular psu. Or if you go with a gtx 580...not the 3GB versions...look at the LEPA 900w modular gold rated psu (they are made by Enermax) and it's a bargain atm.
