New ram black screen need help

Hello,

I just tried installing new ram. I have a decent build. Trying to make it better lately. I took out the old ram with wrist strap on. Put new ram in. Of course after unplugging everything. Plugged her back in, and turned on. Machine turns on. Everything looks like its on or spinning and running, but I get a black screen and nothing loads. At all. Fortunately I put the old stuff back in and it turns on. I tried leaving the new stuff in and taking out the mobo battery. For like 5 minutes. Didnt work.

Abit An-M2
AMD x2 dual core 5200
500 watt power supply - came with raidmax dirktooth case

GeForce gtx 550 ti
windows vista ultimate 64

I have WINTEC AMP-X 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM
its in the first two dimm channels. I was trying to replace with two 2 GB sticks of super talent heres what the sticker says for this cheap ass ram $60 total: T800UB2GV STT ddr2-800 pc6400 2G/128x8 cl6 value. Please help and thanks. I really want to either get it working with out breaking my pc, or sell it back.
