4GB Ram sticks for M3N78D?

Question.

Considering this motherboard. It can support 1600MHz ram, but it's RAM support list only lists <2GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz, and all the 4GB sticks are rather pricey.
Would it be possible for me to just use some typical DDR3 ram with this motherboard? Or is that something I should avoid doing?

Memory support list : http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory/M3N78D.pdf

Mobo's details : http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/M3N78D/

The ram I'm looking at this moment is : http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/memory-pc...

I'm interested with DDR3 1600 MHz, because I'd like to downclock the speed, and decrease latency.

Thanks in advance.

I've never found any good quality RAM that didn't work in any motherboard, despite the QVL on the manufacturer's site. That Crucial will be fine.
