Microtech, has a 1 Year warranty I think, and the Batteries are covered only for 6 Months, right?
If that is the case take it to the Microtech dealer and ask him for a full details check report.
Believe me he is going to tell you that the battery is dead and you need to get a new one, if you can get one immediately and tell him to recheck it. See it being checked, cos, from the signs and symptoms it's a minute PCB failure on the part of the UPS. Which could be replaced for a few rupees :)  and not a few hundred as would be the case of a battery replacement.

Well, unless you're tech savvy and know how to open the UPS and check the Battery, I would not advise opening it up and getting it checked at another UPS repair shop.
Just the battery, let the Microtech people handle the circuit.
But if you aren't that sure about opening it yourself and getting it done, you are left with no option other than getting the battery replaced by them and then going back to them a month later for the problematic circuit.
