I am planning on getting the i5-2500k and overclocking it a bit and will get a 560ti and add one later

When does adding cards become not worth it e.g 6 months, a year, 2 years?

If i was not to sli the 560ti how much would i need with overclocking?

Any suggestion for under $100 bucks before rebate, modular would be great but if its not possible its ok

For SLI rig I would recommend corsair TX 750.Corsair PSUs have a superb build quality and can also provide extra Amps when needed.

It will always remain worthwhile to add another card. The only problem is you might not get the card after another six months. So you should get another card before they run out of stocks.

You can't achieve performance level of two 560ti in sli with a single overclocked 560ti.The two in sli would perform better than gtx580 for much less cost.

Like I said you won't get another card after a year or 2.Although if you can get it would be worthwhile because you'll have to pay a lot less to get the next card.

Investing on a good PSU is always a good idea.850W from a good manufacturer should be enough.Although the GPUs will become increasingly more efficient in the years to come you might not need so much power even for sli.But still the remaining power could be used for liquid cooling and other stuffs.

You would be fine with a 750W unit imo.
