CPU Fan twitches, LED off

i5 3570k
OCZ Mod 600w PSU
8GB HyperX Ram
GB Z68MA-D2H-B3 Board

So I installed the CPU and connected all the power cables to the mobo, 20+4 and the other (idk what it's called) power cable to the motherboard. I press the power button on case and everything powers up fine except for the cpu fan which does a little twitch and then nothing, and the motherboard with has none of the LED's lit up.
How can I fix this problem

Can u remove the RAM and install it in the second and 4th RAM slot.

Did u plug in the 4/8-pin CPU power 12v ATX connector?

Did u use the stand offs?

Try to run only on 1 RAM stick, try different slots and than try the other stick.

I didn't put in the stand-offs.

Oh, that's the issue than. They are made of bras and that is not conductive.

It now sits on metal and its shorting out.

It can kill the mobo at once.

They are the absolute must-use.

Great, so I just burnt out my mobo.

Well, it may not. It is just shorting out now.

Install the bras stand-offs and it should work fine.

And.. It's still not working.

We may need to reset the BIOS? The right way!

Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.

It may be the PSU too.

If u or him have one, ask him to bring it too.

Its common problem, usually its the RAM or PSU, even if its new one.
