I have a LG Flatron L224WS 22' LCD (only VGA input), and I recently bought an ATI Radeon HD 4350 card. The monitor has aspect ratio of 16 by 10, but the card the card is offering only 4:3 aspect ratio.

I think the the problem is caused because the ATI card doesn't recognize the monitor. I checked with LG for the driver but they denied having one as this is a PnP monitor. The same monitor worked fine when I was using NVEDIA GeForce 8400 card.

System specs:

Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit with SP1
Saphire ATI Radeon HD4350
CCC version is 11.5
MoBo: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G31M-ES2L (Socket 775)

You mean it only has 1600x1200 to choose from instead of 1680x1050?.

Did you properly uninstall the 8400GS drivers before installing the 4350?, try uninstalling your current drivers and all nvidia related drivers, then use Driver Sweeper under safe mode to clean all nvidia and ati driver leftovers from your HDD.

If that doesn't solve it you can try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_7649449_add-custom-resolution-ati.html

I believe there is an option in CCC for adding a custom resolution, not at home so I can't check right now.

Yes, currently none of the 16:10 resolutions are listed in my Desktop properties.

Since removing the NVEDIA card I have formatted the system thrice so don't think there will be any left overs. I'll try doing the custom res thing and revert. Thanks.
