I have an IBM T42p laptop that has stopped hibernating when I close the
lid. In my control panel I opened the Power Options and noticed that
the 'Do nothing' option is selected under 'When I close the lid of my
portable computer'. When I switch the option to 'Hibernate', apply it,
close the dialog box and reopen it, the option has returned to 'Do
nothing'. No matter what I do I cannot successfully save this option.
Has anyone seen this problem? Any suggested remedies anyone can offer
me?
Thank you

Check in the BIOS for power options
