Hello,

New to the forum community but not the website.

Here's my specs before I dive into my problem

MSI K9A platinum motherboard
Athlon 3000+
4 gigs corsair ddr2
Nvidia 8800gtx
Antec 650w power source

The computer locked up yesterday entirely so I had to crash it. After doing so I had a hard time getting the monitor to see the graphics card, but after a few reboots it eventually started, only to crash 10 minutes later and now I am totally unable to get the display detected. The computer seems to be boot ing ok (based on what I can hear). The video card fan spins up each time as if it is trying to work....

So far I have tried the following:

Removing and reinserting video card into a different pci-e slot.
Removing and rearranging ram
Removing and reinserting CMOS battery
Unplugging system and discharging power supply by holding power button.

I've been told to try plugging my monitor into the onboard video. Sadly the onboard video is VGA and has 2 sets of prongs, but all my vga cords have 3 sets of prongs and will not fit?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
