You should get the Antec. A good review of that PSU can be found at http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Antec-Basiq-BP50...

Edit: If you need long cables, then the Thermaltake would be better. They both are acceptable PSUs.

I'll read it. But do they compare? Is there an absolute winner?

Thanx

For reliabilty i'd buy the Antec.
My BP350 which is still in daily use is 6+yrs old.
Any review i've read involving a TR2 hasn't been flattering.

Just read the review. Antec was pretty good, that's the choice for $40.

The Thermaltake wins on cable length and looks. The Antec wins in total power.

Antec: +3.3V@30A, +5V@30A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2.5A

Thermaltake: +3.3V@22A, +5V@18A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@17A, -12V@0.3A, +5VSB@2.5A

Had one for 3-4 years, than gave it to a friend and it is still running in the small box media PC I made.

That's why I like Antec - great cases and PSU's and fans.
